Last week I finished the Insanity program! Yippee!! Yesterday I decided to start the program over, but add the Insanity Upper Body Weight Training to it, because I love to workout with weights, and I have missed doing it. When I completed the dvd (47 min) I thought to myself that that workout was pretty easy. Not hard at all. I started thinking that maybe I will have to do another weight training program because the Insanity wasn't hard. Well, last night my muscles were starting to become sore. I told my husband that maybe it was a good workout after all. Around 4:00 this morning, I couldn't sleep. My arms, shoulders, back, and stomach muscles were killing me!!! When my alarm went off at 5:00 I could barely get out of bed. My entire upper body was so sore. I didn't know how I was going to do Insanity this morning.
Well, I pushed myself through the workout as best as I could. Doing the level 1 drills were the hardest and I didn't do very good, because I could barely hold up my body. I was planning on doing the cardio abs dvd today also, but I am going to have to wait until tomorrow, and let my muscles rest.
Yesterday, my plan had been to do the Upper Body Weight Training on Mon, Wed, and Fri. and the cardio abs on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. Today, my plan has changed. I will be doing the weight training on Mon and Thurs, and the abs on Wed and Sat. That way my muscles have time to recover.
I know now that this dvd does work, and I will not be changing to another weight training program.
