Day 21

Explain how I got my scars: (I tried taking pics of these scars, but I couldn't get any good ones)
I have a scar on my left knee, which I call my superman scar. I don't remember how old I was when I got this scar, I think I was 9 or 10, anyway, I was rollerblading and I tripped over an edge in the sidewalk and honestly flew like superman (hands straight forward, legs straight back) and then landed on my knee and scraped it all up.
I have a scar in between two of my knuckles on my left hand. I got this scar from pulling something out of the oven, back when I was younger ( I think I was 11) and I lifted my hand up too soon thinking it was out of the oven. It wasn't, and I burned in on the top of the oven. That burn really hurt!!
I have scars on both of my elbows. I got these scars when I was 8 years old. I was riding my bike down a hill and thought I was cool because I could ride my bike with "no hands". Well, I couldn't. I didn't make the turn, and crashed the bike and scraped up the elbows and got a little road burn on my face also (this happened the day before picture day at school, my mom wasn't too happy).
I also have a mystery scar right above my left elbow. It looks like it has been cut, and had stitches. The weird thing is, I have never had stitches. Lee is always asking me how I got this scar, and I have no idea. Its a pretty cool looking scar, I just wish I knew how I got it.
I have tons of little scars on my hands and arms, probably from cutting food or accidentally setting the curling iron or flat iron on my arms (yes, I have done that frequently)
So, there you have it. The story of my scars. I am pretty clumsy, as you could probably guess from reading about my scars.

Day 20

Something I regret:
I know I have and make lots of mistakes, HUGE ones even. I don't neccessary regret them. I learn from those mistakes and I am glad that I was taught those life lessons, but I also like to move forward, and leave those things in the past.

Day 19

Its very hard for me to pick just one favorite quote. Since this is my blog, I am going to write down a few of my favorite quotes, because I can. :)
"Cheerfulness and contentment are great beautifiers and are famous preservers of youthful look."-Charles Dickens
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."-Mother Theresa
"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it daily."-Zig Ziglar

Day 18

Here are a few pics from my senior year photo shoot, which was ten years ago! Wowzers, I don't even look the same. I'd give anything to have that body back! LOL! Please excuse the awfulness of these pics, I don't have a scanner so I had to take pics with my camera of the pics. Lame, I know..... :)

Insanity workout program

I started my third week today with the Insanity workout program. I am loving this program! I feel better about myself, I have more energy, and I am seeing improvements, all within 2 weeks!
On the first day of Insanity you do a fit test. In this fit test you do a different exercise for one minute and you count how many you can do within that minute. You continue doing this fit test every two weeks through out the program. Today was my second time doing this fit test. My results are incredible (at least I think so!). Here are my results within two weeks of doing this program: (the first number is the first time I did it, the second number is today's results)
  • Switchkicks: 37/50
  • Power Jacks: 39/52
  • Power Knees: 77/90
  • Power Jumps: 30/40
  • Globe Jumps: 8/9 (might not seem like a big difference here, but trust me, its a huge difference)
  • Suicide Jumps: 5/11
  • Push-up Jacks: 9/16
  • Low Plank Oblique: 5/23

If anyone has ever thought of trying to do Insanity, I say GO FOR IT! You will love it by the end of the first week, and wonder why it took you so long to try it out in the first place!

Good luck!!

Day 17

This was the first video that I ever watched on youtube. A coworker showed this video to Tyra and I one day when I had stopped in to drop off some paperwork. Tyra (who I believe was 2 at the time) loved this video so much, and would demand to watch it several times a day.

Day 16

Writing a letter to someone who has hurt me recently is a private matter. I will not be doing this one. Sorry peeps.

Day 15

I forgot to take a picture of one of my meals yesterday, so these are photos from the www. This was my lunch: 1 apple and 2 string cheeses. Yum!
