The start of a new journey

I have been working out for quite some time, and would like to go back to school and get my Personal Trainers Certificate, and possibly go on to be a Registered Dietician.
The one thing that holds me back on this is I don't look like a personal trainer. I feel like I need to have a nice lean body, so that people will know what I am talking about when I train them. I have tried many things to get my body looking lean, but for some reason, all the fat wants to stay around my mid-section and I can't get rid of it. I have seriously contemplated getting a tummy tuck, but I feel that is taking the easy way out, and if I could lose it on my own, I would feel more accomplished. I started doing my own meals and working out twice a day with family and friends, helping them out as well. I soon realized I was not eating enough calories with as much working out as I was doing. The weekends would come and I would just eat junk food and takeout, which adds more fat to my body.
So, I decided to give Live the Life a try. Its a 12 week program that has a workout program and meal plan all ready for me, and all I have to do is follow it. By doing this, I am hoping to get the body I want, or at least a good start, and saving myself thousands of dollars by not getting the tummy tuck.
I thought it would be fun to blog this progress to keep myself motivated, and hopefully receive motivation from others, or motivate others to take charge of their own lives and make a change!
